After testing a lot of products, we have selected the 8 best all-terrain strollers for 2018 which are mentioned below. In our experiments, we have found these products most consistent in performance and true value for the money.
Summer Infant 3Dtwo Double Convenience Stroller
Every twin Mom knows that even though aisles are legally required to be wide enough for a wheelchair (and subsequently, a side-by-side stroller), they usually aren’t. With this puppy, you’ll be whizzing in and out of aisles, checking out the shirts in the back corner, and have your pick of fitting rooms— in short, living like a queen!
The Summer Infant 3Dtwo is very, very, lightweight at 18 lbs (single umbrella strollers are roughly 15 lbs) and the aluminum frame folds very compactly. I literally have no trunk space in my Mazda 5 with my 3rd row seats up and it fits, making it the perfect (and only) option when you are low on space— or need room for groceries, luggage, or shopping bags.
The seats can recline up to about 33°, limited by the nature of the seating configuration. For those of you who failed trigonometry, the recline is a little less than halfway. On the front seat (only), there is an adjustable calf-rest to keep little chubby baby legs supported (not meant for older children). If the front seat is empty, you can push it up to the bumper bar to gain more space in the back— or for easier in and out for the rear child.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller
The Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller is fully packed with awesome features but as expected, no product is perfect. Before we start talking about the main issue parents have about this stroller, let’s see what this umbrella stroller has that makes the majority of buyers happy.
This umbrella stroller comes with an excellent size storage basket under the seat. It also easily accessible. You can put your large-sized diaper bag as well as some other things. Be mindful of the maximum weight of the stroller which is 50 pounds. When you add the weight of your little passenger, it would be better if you will not go overboard.
I highly doubt that the “all terrain” wheel can take rocky or rough roads. And although it has a front suspension which is supposed to give your passenger a smooth ride, DO NOT expect a ride as smooth as when you are using strollers with bigger air-filled wheels such as jogging strollers. The issue with cup holders can be solved by the basket underneath if you are referring to putting bottled drinks. Anyway, it’s never safe to put a hot coffee in a stroller’s cup holder even if it perfectly fits in there.
Baby Trend Expedition Double Jogger, Centennial
Jogging strollers are excellent products, allowing you to maintain an active lifestyle through jogging or running as you keep watch over your kids. A lot of jogging strollers, however, have this one major problem: healthy children can easily outgrow them. This is especially true with double jogging strollers. The Baby Trend Expedition Double Jogger, Centennial attempts to address this problem without being too bulky. We have checked out this product and boy, the whole family simply loves it.
This stroller is perfect for people who are raising growing children, but cannot in any way afford owning bulky, high-capacity strollers. Of course, this has all the benefits that you can find from your typical baby stroller; it not only keeps your children safe when you take them outdoors, but also has features that allow you to jog or run as you keep close watch of your kids.
Evenflo Pivot Modular
We are living in the era where multitasking is considered a key aspect. With this idea in mind, Evenflo has emerged with their Pivot Modular Travel system which is considered to be the multitasking stroller. No doubt, Evenflo has combined high-quality, durability, safety, and multitasking ability in this one travel system.
Evenflo Pivot Modular is the tri travel system that means you get a car seat, base, and toddler seat that reclines and converts to a bassinet without putting too much effort. It has six different seating modes in which each mode can be front facing or world facing. Some of its additional core features are as follows: it offers 4 to 35 pounds seating capacity in a base mode whereas 50 pounds seating capacity in a stroller mode. Moreover, 3 to 5 point harness system ensures the safety of your child and its luxuriously built tires make your child ride smooth and make it easy for you to push.
Besrey Airplane Stroller One Step Design
The Besrey Airplane Stroller is perfect for traveling and it can be used with a car seat or without. It has a deluxe canopy and storage underneath, which is always convenient. You won’t believe how compact this stroller is when it’s folded up! It will fit in any standard airline overhead bin, which can save you money and time at the airport. This stroller is made with aluminum so it is lightweight and durable. It weighs in at just under 11 pounds.
Joovy Zoom 360 Ultralight Jogging Stroller
The Joovy Zoom 360 Ultralight is an updated version of the Zoom 360 that has been one of the best selling joggers on the market. It might not be as fancy as some other models, but has a lot of great features and is very budget-friendly. The swivel front wheel that can be locked straight, makes it a perfect option for jogging as well as everyday use.
The air-filled tires together with rear-wheel suspension can handle any terrain while providing a smooth ride. The maneuverability on Ultralight is one of the best! You can easily push ans steer it with one hand.
The cool thing about the seat is that it sits a little higher on the frame than on other joggers so you can use it as a high chair. One thing that I didn’t like is that the seat and the leg rest are light on the padding. I am also a not big fan of the coarse seat fabric that is a little scratchy.
BOB Revolution FLEX Jogging Stroller, Black
The 2016 Revolution FLEX features air-filled tires and an amazing suspension system to make every jog more comfortable for baby. When baby is ready for a nap recline their seat with just one hand, and when they are ready to play they can sit in a fully upright position. You will never have to worry about keeping baby safe from the sun with the huge SPF 50 canopy.
If you are looking for a premium all-terrain stroller for all your adventures the Flex is for you! It has a large two-panel canopy that goes all the way down providing a full coverage. This is one of the best jogger canopies on the market. There is also a large plastic peekaboo window with a Velcro closure. The 2016 model also has an adjustable handle bar that offers 9 different positions to choose from.
It goes from 34″ up to 45″ from the ground. The handle bar is nicely padded with a foam. The runaway strap is attached to the handle bar providing extra security in case the stroller runs away from you during jogging. The seat is 14.7″ wide and 23″ high from the bottom of the seat to the top of the canopy.
Kolcraft Cloud Side-by-Side Double Umbrella Stroller
The Kolcraft Cloud Double came in 3rd from the bottom of 9 double strollers. This stroller earned the lowest score for maneuverability and the second lowest for quality. While the Cloud Double is definitely budget friendly, arguably its only perk, the lack of 5-point harnesses makes it a no go in our book and one we think parents should avoid no matter what their budget.
The triple action brakes, that require 3 pedals to be engaged, also gives us pause and concern that over time parents will fail to properly set the brakes. If budget is a concern, our Best Value winner, and second place scorer, the Delta Children LX Side by Side has the same list price as the Cloud, but offers better maneuverability, higher quality, and 5-point harnesses. Accommodates up to 35 lbs per seat for a total weight limit of 70 lbs.
