Sit And Stand Strollers

After testing a lot of products, we have selected the 8 best sit and stand strollers for 2018 which are mentioned below. In our experiments, we have found these products most consistent in performance and true value for the money.

Baby Trend Sit N Stand Double

Baby Trend Sit N Stand Double

$140.24 Prime

The Baby Trend Sit N’ Stand is a tandem stroller that accepts two infant car seats. The standard configuration of the stroller has two regular seats and also works with a younger child sitting in the front while an older child can sit or stand on the back. This stroller has a covered parent tray with dual cupholders, 5-point harnesses, child’s tray with cup holder, and a foot activated rear brake.

The wheels and tires on this stroller are plastic with a dual front wheel design we aren’t fans of. It is hard to push, but the pushing gets a harder the more weight you put inside. The frame flexes when it’s weighed down, and it makes the stroller feel like it might fold up on itself.

The Baby Trend Sit N’ Stand is a cheap looking stroller that feels flimsy when you use this. This product manages to check some boxes of key features parents want, but it fails to deliver those features in a way that truly provides exceptional or even adequate performance.

Joovy Caboose Graphite Stand On Tandem Stroller, Black

Joovy Caboose Graphite Stand On Tandem Stroller Black

Upgrade your ride to accommodate your growing family with the Joovy Caboose double stroller. It allows your growing toddler to sit or stand, face forward or backward, or walk beside you, while a younger sibling rides securely and comfortably in front. It comes equipped with a universal car set attachment system and features 3-position recline. Front seat accommodates a child from 3 months to 45 lbs and reclines to 3-positions.

The Joovy Caboose Too Ultralight Graphite stroller has all of the same great features of our Caboose Ultralight Graphite stroller PLUS it includes a full-size rear seat. The full-size rear seat is removable and accommodates children too young (less than 2.5 years) to use the rear bench seat and standing platform. Full-size removable rear seat has a multi-position recline and holds a child from 6 months to 45 lbs.

BravoFor2 2-Passenger Double Stroller

BravoFor2 2-Passenger Double Stroller

$279.99 Prime

The Chicco BravoFor2 is worth a gander if you have older toddler/preschoolers or a Chicco car seat you want to use with a sit ‘n’ stand. Parents tend to either think it “drives like a dream” or is a little difficult to handle, but we think it pushes nicely (for a double). It’s easy to fold up and has a good amount of storage.

I’d say the build quality of this stroller is a step up from both Graco and Joovy. The big downside with this stroller is the front seat — it works great with a baby in an infant KeyFit car seat, but once that child outgrows the seat, you should know that it barely reclines.

Joovy’s Caboose Too Ultralight Graphite Stand-On Tandem Stroller shares all the sought-after features of the compact inline for 2 Caboose Too Graphite Stand-On Tandem Stroller but with a lighter weight and some extras. Joovy Caboose Ultralight Graphite Stroller, Black

Joovy Caboose Ultralight Graphite Stroller, Black

$199.99 Prime

The Joovy Caboose Ultralight Graphite is an inline double stroller with sit and stand capabilities. This stroller is lightweight, has a parent console, sliding bench seat for storage access, a reclining front seat, larger than average canopy for the stroller style, and a child’s tray. This stroller can be used with an additional seat (for purchase), has double action brakes, and the front seat can recline in three positions.

None of the adapters needed to be assembled, but the child’s tray needs to be removed from the stroller to attach them. All of the infant seats are the strap-in connections, and they can be installed incorrectly if the straps are not properly secured. We worry some parents will forget the strap or choose not to use it making it a potential safety concern.

While this stroller scored lower than a lot of the competition and didn’t win an award, for this reason, we did give it an honorable mention shout out as a good option for parents looking for a stroller of this style. Thanks to an easy to lift and carry weight and versatile seating arrangements this stroller stands out for being good at what it is and what it offers, even if it isn’t the best option for everyone.

Baby Trend Sit and Stand Double Stroller

Baby Trend Sit and Stand Double Stroller

$169.99 Prime

The Baby Trend Sit N’ Stand earned the lowest score overall in our review of 18 double strollers. This simple tandem stroller can accept two infant car seats, but the standard seating arrangements sans car seat give children very different rider experiences that might have twins arguing about who gets to sit where.

If your goal is a stroller for children of different ages, it might work somewhat better, but the quality and performance just aren’t as high as the competition, and for a Sit and Stand design there are better options in this review. While this stroller does have a reasonable price point, it isn’t low enough to make putting up with poor maneuverability and ease of use performance worthwhile. This is not a stroller we would recommend no matter what your goal or budget.

JOOVY Caboose Ultralight Graphite Stroller, Gray

JOOVY Caboose Ultralight Graphite Stroller Gray

$199.99 Prime

The Joovy Caboose Ultralight Graphite has 4- and 4½-star reviews across different online retailers and is currently an Amazon Favorite at the time of writing. I personally tested this stroller and can honestly say that I agree with the 4-star rating out of 5. Why did I knock off a star for this version? By the time you finish going through this review you’ll know! Full disclosure: this stroller was provided to review by Joovy, but it in no way influenced my unbiased analysis.

As the name suggests, the Caboose Ultralight Graphite weighs 4 pounds less than the basic Caboose Graphite model. At 23.5 pounds (with the child’s snack tray attached), it weighs far less than most double strollers and is about the same weight as a double umbrella stroller. When I push the Ultralight Graphite, it maneuvers just like a single stroller, perhaps just a tad bit longer, as to be expected.

The padded seat and bench each can take a child up to 45 pounds for a total of a 90-pound weight capacity. This requires a sturdy build and this stroller, while having a light weight minimal frame, is by no means rickety. The seat has a three-position recline done by pulling up on a metal horizontal rod behind the seat.
